Our work addresses key questions about how humans perceive and interact with their environment, how cognition and language emerge and develop from infancy to adulthood, and how these processes adapt—or fail to adapt—over time. Many projects involve close collaborations with hospitals and clinical partners, allowing us to work with unique populations (e.g., newborns, patients with neurodevelopmental or psychiatric conditions). This enables us to bridge basic and applied research, contributing to novel diagnostic tools, therapeutic targets, and assistive technologies, such as brain-machine interfaces or adaptive rehabilitation systems.

INCC is a transdisciplinary research center that thrives on collaboration across scientific cultures.
